Are you a passionate educator dedicated to fostering independence and curiosity in children? Montessori & Friends Education gGmbH is looking for an English-speaking Lead Teacher to join our vibrant, bilingual community in the historic heart of Berlin-Wannsee.

The Vision

Our primary school is more than just a classroom; it is a nurturing environment where 130 students (Grades 1–6) thrive in mixed-age groups. Located idyllically near Lake Wannsee, we prioritize self-directed learning and holistic development. With a secondary school expansion planned for 2026/27, we are an ever-evolving organization committed to the Montessori method.

Your Role & Impact

As a Lead Teacher for a mixed-age group (Grades 1–3), you will:

  • Mentor and Guide: Support a maximum of 24 students, tailoring your approach to meet individual developmental needs.
  • Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with a dedicated co-teacher.
  • Immerse: Deliver the standard primary curriculum exclusively in English, supporting our bilingual focus (roughly 50% of our students come from English-speaking or bilingual backgrounds).
  • Engage: Build trusting, transparent partnerships with parents and contribute your creative ideas to our pedagogical team.

What We Offer

  • Stability: A permanent, full-time contract.
  • Competitive Pay: Remuneration based on the TV-L pay scale, complemented by bonuses and additional benefits.
  • Family Support: Access to childcare for your own children within our facilities (subject to availability).
  • Growth: Paid professional development and the opportunity to earn a Montessori diploma while you work.
  • Environment: A warm, supportive team culture in a stunning historic location.

Your Profile

  • Qualifications: You hold a recognized teaching degree (e.g., QTS, Master of Education, or a degree recognized by the State of Berlin).
  • Experience: Proven track record in primary-level English instruction.
  • Montessori Heart: You already hold a Montessori diploma or have extensive experience in Montessori environments. If not, you are eager to earn your diploma during your tenure.
  • Language Skills: English at a C1 level (minimum) and German at a B1 level (minimum).
