Job Description

About the Company

We are a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building advanced cloud security technology designed to detect intrusions using intelligent decoy systems (“canaries”) that mislead attackers and surface threats early.

Our platform helps security teams identify breaches across large-scale cloud environments by processing billions of security events each week with high accuracy and speed.

Backed by leading investors including FirstMark, Accel, MMC Ventures, Tapestry VC, and CCL, we are currently scaling rapidly following a successful $20M Series A funding round. We have already secured enterprise clients such as Riot Games, Docker, Snyk, Synthesia, and Coveo, and continue expanding aggressively across global markets.

Our growth has been recognised across the European startup ecosystem, including listings such as Sifted’s “London Startups to Watch” and Accel Euroscape emerging security companies.

We are now expanding our London engineering team and seeking exceptional engineers who want to work in a high-ownership, high-impact environment.

The Opportunity

As a Founding Engineer, you will play a core role in shaping both our product and engineering culture. You will work directly with the CTO and Engineering Lead, contributing across the entire stack while building scalable systems used by major global organisations.

This is a highly hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where engineering decisions directly impact customers and product direction.

You will:

  • Build and maintain secure, scalable backend systems (primarily C#/.NET Core)
Develop infrastructure using Terraform and cloud-native tools
Contribute to frontend development using modern lightweight frameworks (e.g. HTMX)
Design systems capable of handling high-volume security event processing
Work directly with founders, customers, and stakeholders to refine product direction
Participate in rapid deployment cycles with continuous delivery practices
Help define engineering standards, architecture, and best practices

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking engineers who are motivated by impact, ownership, and fast-paced product development.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have professional experience building production-grade software systems
Are comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Enjoy working in early-stage startup environments with fast iteration cycles
Care deeply about code quality but can balance speed vs perfection effectively
Are motivated by delivering features directly to customers
Thrive in collaborative, high-trust engineering teams

Even if you do not meet every requirement, applications are still encouraged.

Work Environment

  • Full-time in-person role based in Central London (near Warren Street)
Collaborative engineering culture with minimal bureaucracy
Daily standups and direct communication with founders and customers
Fast release cycles with real-time product feedback

Working Style

We operate as a tightly integrated engineering team with a strong focus on execution. Engineers are trusted with ownership of meaningful components and expected to contribute directly to product outcomes.

While the environment is fast-paced, we prioritise clarity, simplicity, and sustainable engineering practices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: £60,000 – £120,000 (depending on experience)
    Equity package included
    UK visa sponsorship available
Relocation support (£5,000 tax-free relocation assistance)
    Flexible time off policy
Support for accommodation and relocation setup in London
