PartsCloud is a fast-growing AI-driven startup building technology that helps industrial companies improve forecasting and planning for spare parts. The company is expanding its finance and operations team and is looking for a Working Student in Finance to support core financial processes and data-driven decision-making.

This role offers hands-on exposure to startup finance, operational reporting, and modern AI-supported workflows in a high-growth environment.

Role Overview

As a Working Student in Finance, you will support the operational and analytical backbone of the finance function. Working closely with senior leadership (including the COO and Founder’s Associate), you will contribute to financial reporting, data preparation, KPI tracking, and process improvement.

You will gain direct insight into how finance operates in a modern AI startup, including forecasting, reporting, and automation of financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Support preparation and maintenance of financial reports (P&L, cash flow, budgets)
    Assist in generating management reports for internal decision-making
    Help ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data

Data Management & Processing

  • Collect, clean, and structure data from CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and internal tools
    Prepare datasets for analysis and reporting purposes
    Assist in maintaining KPI dashboards and operational performance metrics

Operational Finance Support

  • Support coordination with tax advisors and external partners
    Assist in collecting and organising receipts and financial documentation
    Help reconcile financial data and ensure completeness of records

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Contribute ideas to improve financial reporting workflows
    Support development of more efficient, AI-assisted finance processes
    Identify opportunities to streamline operational finance tasks

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated student who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
    Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
    Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
    Structured, reliable, and proactive working style
    Clear communication skills and willingness to take ownership
    Interest in AI, automation, and modern finance tools
    Availability of at least 20 hours per week
    Preference for on-site collaboration in Berlin
