Role Overview
Boeing is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join the Global Technology (BGT) International Finance team. This role supports financial operations for international research centres and R&D programmes across Europe, with a particular focus on the UK and Ireland.
You will contribute to financial planning, cost control, reporting, and audit support for globally distributed technology and engineering projects. The role sits within a fast-paced, international environment where accuracy, collaboration, and analytical insight are critical.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Support daily, monthly, and quarterly financial activities for international R&D centres
Assist in preparing financial reports for both regional and US stakeholders
Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning cycles
Cost Management & Analysis
- Monitor overheads and project-level cost structures
Support analysis of risks, opportunities, and headcount planning
Assist in tracking and validating cost allocation across global programmes
Audit & Compliance Support
- Coordinate documentation for internal and external audits
Support financial substantiation for publicly funded and government-backed projects
Liaise with HR, payroll, accounting, contracts, and engineering teams to ensure audit readiness

Cross-Functional Collaboration
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across global teams, including:
- Finance and accounting teams in the UK, Europe, and the United States
Contracts and procurement departments
Engineering and research teams
Human resources and payroll functions

Systems & Technical Requirements
The role requires strong analytical and financial systems capability, including:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
Experience with financial reporting tools and data systems
Familiarity with enterprise finance platforms is advantageous (e.g., planning, reporting, and cost tracking systems)
Ability to interpret and manipulate large financial datasets

Required Experience
Professional Background
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations in a multinational environment
Strong understanding of financial planning, cost control, and accounting processes
Experience working with audits and financial compliance frameworks

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Ability to document and explain financial processes clearly
Experience supporting business transformation or process improvement initiatives
Confidence working in cross-functional and international teams
