The Role: Senior Business Development Manager

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic enterprise growth.

This is a senior, client-facing role focused on building high-value partnerships with large organisations and driving revenue through complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You will play a central role in expanding our presence in key global markets.

You will be responsible for engaging senior executives, shaping tailored workforce solutions, and leading end-to-end sales cycles from initial outreach through to contract closure.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Own the full enterprise sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure
    Deliver high-value commercial deals, including six- and seven-figure partnerships
    Develop and execute structured go-to-market strategies across target sectors and regions

Executive Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite leaders in HR, Learning & Development (L&D), CSR, and Technology
    Act as a trusted advisor, understanding organisational challenges and aligning solutions accordingly

Solution Design & Value Creation

  • Translate complex client needs into tailored workforce development and digital skills solutions
    Position Future Skills programmes to deliver measurable business and social impact
    Collaborate with internal product and delivery teams to ensure successful programme execution

Market & Strategy Contribution

  • Feed market intelligence into commercial and product strategy discussions
    Support refinement of go-to-market positioning based on client insights
    Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and global forums

Team Contribution

  • Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team
    Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative sales culture

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 7 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales or business development
    A proven track record of closing large-scale commercial deals (six- and seven-figure contracts)
    Experience engaging senior decision-makers in HR, L&D, CSR, digital transformation, or technology functions
    Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to manage long and complex sales cycles
    Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
    Experience using CRM and digital sales tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and G-Suite
    A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset suited to fast-moving global environments
    A strong interest in future workforce trends, digital transformation, and inclusive economic growth

Working Location

  • UK-based role (remote or hybrid depending on business requirements)
