Supplier Recovery Specialist
Job Description
Position Overview
An exciting contract opportunity is available for experienced professionals with a background in warranty recovery, technical investigations, supplier coordination, or equipment diagnostics.
The Supplier Recovery Specialist will play a key role in reviewing complex warranty claims, identifying technical failure causes, and recovering costs from suppliers when responsibility is confirmed. This role combines technical troubleshooting, supplier communication, and warranty compliance management within a fast-paced industrial support environment.
The position supports cross-functional teams, suppliers, and dealers while helping improve product quality and warranty recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Warranty & Supplier Recovery
- Review high-value supplier warranty claims from both technical and contractual perspectives
- Validate claim accuracy and determine financial responsibility
- Approve, deny, or reverse claim payments when necessary
- Initiate recovery actions with suppliers according to warranty agreements
- Support debit memo reviews and supplier dispute resolution activities
Technical Investigation & Analysis
- Perform detailed root cause analysis on failed parts, systems, and assemblies
- Use telematics systems, technical specifications, and diagnostic tools to identify failure modes
- Create technical reports that support supplier reimbursement and product improvements
- Assist in identifying widespread or recurring equipment failures impacting multiple units
Collaboration & Process Support
- Coordinate with suppliers, dealer technicians, engineering teams, and warranty departments
- Provide technical guidance to internal claim assessment teams
- Participate in supplier portal training and warranty module processes
- Ensure all recovery activities follow internal procedures and supplier agreements
- Support negotiations and closure of supplier performance improvement plans (PIPs)
Tools & Systems Used
Candidates should be comfortable working with:
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
- ERP platforms such as SAP
- Supplier warranty and claims portals
- Diagnostic and telematics systems
- Technical parts diagrams and specification databases
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience using ERP systems or technical business software
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and documentation in English
- Comfortable handling supplier communication and issue resolution
Preferred Background
- Warranty administration or audit support experience
- Root cause analysis knowledge
- Technical troubleshooting or diagnostic experience
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Negotiation or supplier management experience
Work Schedule
This project operates Monday through Friday. Contractors must be available to work an 8-hour shift between:
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Eastern Time
Contractor Engagement Information
This opportunity is offered through a third-party supplier arrangement. Contractors will be employed and compensated by eTeam, which will manage payroll, compliance, and contractor benefits.

Compensation Overview
Hourly compensation varies by state and experience level. Estimated pay ranges include:
