Role Overview
A leading opportunity is available for an experienced Account Executive focused on Government and Defence Business Development, supporting the expansion of advanced satellite-based connectivity solutions across Northern Europe.
This position centers on shaping how governments and defence institutions adopt next-generation LEO satellite communication technologies, enabling secure, resilient, and mission-critical connectivity across public-sector infrastructures.
You will operate at the intersection of technology, policy, and strategic procurement—engaging senior stakeholders and influencing long-term national and regional connectivity strategies.
Core Mission
Your primary responsibility is to drive adoption of advanced space-based communication systems within government and defence ecosystems, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and institutional requirements.
You will act as a key bridge between internal engineering/product teams and external governmental decision-makers, shaping how secure connectivity solutions are positioned in complex national environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic go-to-market plans targeting government and defence sectors in Northern Europe
Identify and map key stakeholders across ministries, defence agencies, procurement bodies, and institutional partners
Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior government officials, defence leaders, and policy influencers
Present and promote LEO satellite connectivity solutions for secure and mission-critical communications
Track developments in defence procurement programs, regulatory frameworks, and geopolitical trends
Collaborate with engineering, product, and commercial teams to align solutions with national and operational needs
Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, and policy considerations
Provide strategic input for executive reporting, account planning, and regional growth initiatives
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in government sales, strategic business development, defence technology, or institutional relations
Strong understanding of defence and public-sector ecosystems in Northern Europe or Nordic regions
Proven track record of managing long-cycle, high-value, multi-stakeholder deals
Experience working with telecommunications, satellite systems, secure connectivity, or critical infrastructure technologies
Ability to communicate effectively at executive and policy-making levels
Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working in sensitive, regulated, and geopolitically relevant environments
Fluent in English; additional Nordic or regional languages are an advantage
Defence or military background is considered a strong asset
